Mortgage Company

Scenario: Mortgage Company with three offices in Southern California. Before choosing Network Velocity as their IT provider, each site was independent. The client had no centralized user controls or network access to common resources. Their computers were unreliable and their best method for sharing files was email. Managing their separate locations and disparate systems was costly and inefficient.

Solution: Network Velocity implemented a site to site VPN for all three offices, rebuilt the network from the ground up and consolidated all users on a single Exchange Server across all sites. We implemented Unified Threat Management firewalls at all sites to filter Web surfing, Viruses and provide Intrusion Prevention. This client now has secure access to shared resources over the VPN, Corporate email, centralized user security controls and the ability to add offices at low cost using thin clients connecting to a Terminal Server.

Insurance Company

Scenario: Insurance company moving from a mostly Macintosh based network to a Windows environment to take advantage of a specific industry application availalbe only on Windows.

Solution: Network Velocity selected Windows Small Business Server as the foundation of this network to provide centralized user controls, Email and a Corporate Intranet. The new Small Business Server was installed along with dedicated Application and Fax Servers to accomodate the company's needs. Network Velocity migrated all of the user data from their Macintosh's to the new Windows Servers. SPAM was also a concern so Network Velocity setup Postini email filtering to protect their most valuable company asset, their email!
